About cookies

According to the UE Directive from May 26th 2012, and Law 506 from November 17th 2004 with regards to the handling of personal data and protection of private life in the electronic communication field, every visitor must be asked permission before transmitting cookies to their equipment. We regret having to send you an unpleasant text for your first visit, but we must obey this legislation.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer or mobile device. This way the site remembers for a period of time your actions and preferences (information about authentication, language displayed, font size).

Cookies are not viruses. They are not even applications. They do not contain executable code. Cookies are just text files, so they can not replicate or multiply in your computer, network, or by any other means.

Cookies are managed by the server that generated them. Some have a short life (only for the duration of your visit on the site), others get saved between visits, depending on needs.

Users can always delete cookies, partially or totally, based on the settings of their browser.

How we use cookies

This site uses cookies, as do most sites, in order to optimize the user interface. We use two types of cookies:

  • internal cookies (for example, we use a cookie in order to know if you have accepted, during a previous visit, our cookie policy)
  • 3rd party cookies (for example those used by Google to report to us the number of times our page was accessed, time intervals, and other information).

How you can control cookies

You have full control over the cookies on your device. You can view them (although this will not yield much information, as their structure is designed to be parsed by servers) and you can delete them, partially or totally. Deleting them is done through your web browser's settings.
